Event Format:

• Round 1 (Audition): A short video of your solo instrumental performance (maximum of

  
  

  5 minutes) must be submitted. The video can include stage performances.

• Round 2 (Finals): The top 12 selected participants will perform live on stage at XIMB

Rules:

• Participation Guidelines:

  • Only individual participation is permitted.

  • Each participant must perform with only one instrument in both rounds.

  • Items performed can be Hindustani, Carnatic, Western, or original compositions.

• Audition Video Rules:

  • The audition video must not exceed 5 minutes.

  • Strict adherence to the time limit is mandatory.

• Round 2 Performance Rules:

  • Participants must bring their own instruments and accessories for the final round.

  • Setup time is limited to 5 minutes, and performance time must not exceed 5

• Conduct and Safety:

  • All performances must be free of any form of violence.

  • Use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Any participant suspected of being under the influence will be disqualified, and authorities may be notified.

  • Participants are expected to show courtesy and respect towards fellow musicians and organizers.

• Attendance and Timing:

  • Participants must arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled performance time.

  • Failure to be present and ready for setup 15 minutes before the allotted time will result in disqualification.

• Judging and Decisions:

  • The decision of the organizers regarding the lineup will be final.

  • The judges' decisions will be final and binding.

• Miscellaneous:

  • A sound system will be provided by the organizers.

  • Participants are responsible for the safety and security of their instruments and accessories.

  • All participants agree to have their name, performance, and images used in promotional materials without compensation or royalties.

  • Participants can perform any song(s) of their choice, whether cover or original campus during Xpressions’24.

  • Violations of any rules will lead to immediate disqualification.

  • Additional Points to Ensure Smooth Execution

• A soundcheck slot will be assigned to participants before the event to ensure their instruments are set up correctly.

• Any participant facing technical issues during their performance must immediately inform the event team for a possible retry, subject to organizer discretion.

• Backup power supply will be ensured for uninterrupted performances.
